Homotoxicology is a modern application of homeopathy, the German school of holistic medicine. Founded by Dr. H.H.Reckeweg, homotoxicology was born in the 1930s as a bridge between academic medicine – focused on the symptoms of a single disease - and non-conventional medicines, which treat a patient as a whole.
According to homotoxicology "homotoxins" cause certain diseases. Diseases are the expression of the struggle of the body to neutralize toxins and excrete them, a struggle which the body makes naturally, through the immune system. The body is constantly exposed to a large amount of toxins from the environment, from food or from within. The homotoxins can be divided between endogenous and exogenous toxins.
Exogenous toxins come from the outside through breathing or food- Chemical pollution (smog)- Physical contaminants (radiation, magnetic fields)- Food (pork, canned foods, preservatives, additives, dyes ...)- Conventional drugs (antibiotics, laxatives, tranquilizers, sedatives, steroids ...)
Endogenous toxins exist within us naturally:- Antigenic substances (bacteria, waste, free radicals)- Psycho-social stress- Alteration of the pH of the connective tissues
One of the fundamental principles of Homotoxicology is the body's ability to maintain or restore its homeostasis: a state of physiological balance and health."Stages" have been identified that represent various reactive capabilities of the body that are reflected in inflammatory stages of increasing degree. To maintain a state of wellness, the body needs to get rid of toxins through sweat, urine, exhaled air, secretions. The homotoxicology, stimulating the immune system and organs of the human body, helps to eliminate toxic factors more efficiently and faster, so that the body does not suffer the effects, thus preventing a disease state. Homotoxicology uses a "therapy of small doses", consisting of homeopathic remedies diluted in complex form, which are prescribed by a physician experienced in homotoxicology based on the reactivity of the body of the patient in question.
The 3D programDr. Di Blasio, in collaboration with the medical team of the GB Thermae Hotels, developed the 3D program,  a specialized and highly personalized program, based on a traditional clinical approach integrated with the evaluation of the patient body’s responsiveness in its entirety.
The 3D Program combines 3 actions, the result of three different therapies, which together have a highly therapeutic effect on the body.
Drain - Thermal therapy, thanks to the properties of the mud bath, acts on the fluids of the extracellular compartments of the body. The sweating and increased renal function, stimulated by the mud, causing a greater removal of body fluids.
Purify - The second step is purification through massage and lymphatic drainage, which allows you to expel all these toxins through the lymphatic circulation to the excretory organs.
Detoxify - The last step of the 3D program is homotoxicological therapy, which completes the restoration, regularization and stimulation of the body, eliminating through the excretory organs (skin, liver, biliary tract, urinary tract, respiratory and digestive systems) substances that have reached levels toxic enough to cause damage to health.
The 3D program applies perfectly the synergy between thermalism and homotoxicology: while the drainage and purification baths (mud bath and lymph drainage) are mainly dependent on extracellular fluid compartment, which are eliminated through a process of sweating and restored by osmosis with the formation of new intracellular fluid - the so-called bio-wash-out effect - homotoxicological regulates detoxification and stimulates the excretory organs to remove toxins and restore electrolyte balance.
